VAN DER VALK HOTEL HENGELO

The history of salt mines in Twente and the paintings of Giuseppe Arcimboldo are complied into a  luxurious open kitchen. The high quality of food became the ingredients for the reconstruction of the restaurant in Van der Valk hotel Hengelo. Katarina Stupavska was sought out to create two eye-catching wallpapers representing all these narratives. She designed highly detailed custom prints featuring the cooks in the open kitchen made out of thousands pieces of food, recipes and salt. Have a close look to discover all the hidden details and stories that are integrated in the designs. As Italian Giuseppe Arcimboldo would say; "L'appetito viene mangiando” -  the appetite comes with eating.
