VAN DER VALK HOTEL ENSCHEDE

Fashion textiles, industrial machinery and textile manufacturing from the 19th century are the main characteristics of city Enschede. The new construction of the exclusive Valk hotel in Enschede offered an exceptional blank canvas for translating these narratives into the abundant wallpaper collection. The designs celebrate beautiful textile materials and industrial innovations in Art Deco style. On the ground floor, the wallpapers tell the story about the innovations and life of the workers in the local factories. This involved using liquid gloss panels with rich woven brocades, jacquards and denim designs mixing with contemporary techniques, as a decoration for the suites and boardrooms. Details of large wallpaper in Live&Cook restaurant  features the wide range of delicious choices on a menu with selection of beverages.

The property on the top floor allocates soothing wellness of which walls are covered with 3D tropical wallpapers. These stand behind the custom made Wanschappen’s palms made in collaboration with Katarina’s prints. The dynamic wallpaper situated in the fitness center represents the movement and energises the room.
