KING APARTMENTS AMSTERDAM

Towering above Amsterdam-West in one of the tallest buildings, the brand-new seventeen floor apartment complex was a literal blank canvas of white walls and concrete floors surrounding the modern lift. Katarina Stupavska was appointed by the Dutch real-estate developer to design custom wallpapers for each floor. One of Katarina's priorities was to make the first impression for the residents when they exit their lift. She designed for seventeen floors storytelling wallpaper about the golden-age fused with humour and the latest developments in Amsterdam that became a seamless extension of the outside views. The hand-painted details on the wallpapers gave the materials 3D effect and depth.
