GASTERIJ HET MIDDENPLEIN
Project: RestaurantÂ
Location:Â Enter, the Netherlands
Looking for an artistic point of view, The Gastery Middenplein sought out Katarina Stupavska to design an unique hand-made wallpaper that represents the local storytiles and cubistic landscape painter Jan Broeze.
In contrast to the classic picturesque area, the interior proves to be a different world of Art Deco chic fused with Cubism. Gastery Middenplein is an exclusive oasis to enter the fantasy of printed decor and elegant furniture. Katarina transformed the wall in the restaurant into the historical landscape of Enter where locals celebrate the picturesque life's in the early-20th-century. Geometric shapes and pastel colours were used as Katarina was inspired by artists such as: Georges Braque, Pablo Picasso, Juan Gris, Fernand Léger came from the Cubist exhibition in Centre Pompidou, Paris.
